About the Event

On March 14, 2027, Phoenix Running Cambridgeshire invites runners to Grafham Water for the Not The Cambridge Half event. This flexible race offers participants an opportunity to choose their own distance from 5km all the way up to ultra-marathon lengths, with a course that loops around the scenic waters of Grafham.
The route itself is designed as an out-and-back path covering 3.28 miles (5.3 kilometers), featuring mostly tarmac cycle paths and a small section of gravel terrain. The minimal elevation changes along this flat and fast course make it ideal for runners aiming to set personal bests or simply enjoy the surroundings.
Participants can start anytime between 07:00 AM and 10:00 AM, allowing them to rock up at their leisure without worrying about missing out on a specific starting time. Once underway, runners have seven hours to complete as many laps as they wish within this window, making it perfect for those looking to push themselves or take things easy.
The event welcomes all abilities and paces; whether you're planning to run one lap or aim for an ultra-distance challenge, every finisher will receive a bespoke medal celebrating the Cambridge spirit.
