About the Event

Experience the joy and excitement of Easter at Rio Vista Park as you participate in the 12th Annual Peoria Hippity Hop Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K runs. These races offer runners scenic routes through lush parklands and a vibrant community atmosphere. For families with younger children, don't miss out on the Cottontail Dash, an untimed half-mile fun run featuring an egg hunt along the course. All participants in the Cottontail Dash receive finisher's medals and shirts upon completion of their race. Bring your own bag or basket for collecting eggs; if you forget one, organizers will provide a container for each child. Volunteers ensure that every participant receives an equal share of Easter treats during this festive event. With limited spots available—only 800 participants are accepted—you'll want to secure your entry early to be part of the fun and tradition.
