The Pemberton Trail 50k/25k races take place completely on trails in the beautiful McDowell Mountain Regional Park near Fountain Hills, Arizona. You'll find amazing scenery, gently rolling hills, great volunteers, and awesome awards for overall, masters, and super masters champions. Come join us for a great day in the desert! In 2020, Jim Walmsley smashed the previous men's 50k record of 3:11:55, set by Paul DeWitt back in 2007. Jim cut nearly 23 minutes off that time in 2020, finishing in 2:49:03. This might be the fastest course in the country, so don't miss your chance to set a PR! Both races start at 8:00, with an 8-hour time limit for the 50k. Pemberton Trail also is race #1 in the McDowell Mountain Cup series. If you also participate in the Stoneman 14k Trail Run (Feb. 6) and the Snakebite 20k or 10k (Feb 28), you'll be eligible for special Mountain Cup prizes! (Series participation is not required)
