PVSchools Community 5K Fun Run/Walk

The Annual PVSchools Community 5K Fun Run will be held on January 30, 2027 at Horizon High School. Our goal is to raise awareness and encourage district employees, their families, and the community to live a healthy, active lifestyle.

Join us in making the 17th year the best year yet!

Registration Details

• Register by January 15, 2027 to guarantee a race t-shirt
• T-shirts will only be distributed to participants who attend the event
• When registering, please select your school or site—each participant must be assigned to a location for that school to be eligible to win

Important Information

• No refunds will be issued
• The race begins promptly at 9:15 a.m. Runners and walkers must start within 5 minutes of the official start time for safety and contractual reasons
• Please arrive early to ensure you don't miss the start

Water and healthy snacks will be available before and after the race. 

Event Schedule and Activities:
8:00 – 9:00 AM: Registration/ Check in
8:00 AM: Health Fair begins
9:00 AM: Kids Dash (kids ages 10 and under)
9:10 AM: Stretch
9:15 AM: Race Starts
10:00 AM: Awards Ceremony
11:00 AM: Health Fair Ends  

Course Information

Runners will exit the Horizon HS football field south at the back gate and head east on Nisbet Rd up to Greenway Rd. Runners/Walkers will proceed down 64th St to Acoma then up 56th St back to Nisbet to renter and finish on the field. There are 2 aid stations on the course: One is on 64th St just south of Greenway. The other is at the elementary school on Acoma near 60th Street.

Spectator Information

We welcome spectators to cheer on our runners!

Pets: For the safety of all participants and attendees, pets are not permitted at the event or on the premises. Service animals are welcome.

Registration Fee: Please note that RunSignup charges a small online registration fee. We've maintained flat registration rates for several years to help offset this platform fee. Thank you for your understanding and support!
