Patnitop Marathon - India’s Most Beautiful Hill Race

Nestled amidst the breathtaking Shivalik belt of the Himalayas, Patnitop is set to host India's Most Beautiful Hill Race on May 9, 2027. This picturesque hill resort offers runners an unparalleled experience with its serene meadows and dense forests of deodar (cedar) and kail (blue pine), providing a tranquil backdrop for the event.
The race features a range of distances to cater to all levels of athletes, from the challenging 100km Ultra Marathon to shorter but equally exhilarating options like the Half Marathon (21.1km). The course winds through lush greenery and offers stunning views of the Chenab basin and the Pir Panjal mountain range.
Participants in the ultra marathon categories must be prepared for a grueling yet rewarding journey, carrying essential gear such as hydration vests or backpacks with at least 1.5 liters capacity, mobile phones, headlamps/torches, whistles, waterproof jackets, emergency survival blankets, and personal nutrition supplies to ensure safety throughout their trek.
Race day amenities include official race t-shirts for all participants, finisher medals upon completion of the event, refreshments post-race, hydration stations along the course, digital certificates, and complimentary photos. Top three winners in each age category will also receive trophies as a testament to their achievement.
