Experience the enchanting winter landscapes of Østjylland on January 23, 2027, as "Over stok og sten" returns for its fifth edition. This picturesque vintervandring invites you to explore Vejle's serene natural beauty through a carefully curated route that showcases the region’s diverse terrain.
Starting from Ørnebjergvej 28 in Vejle Idrætsefterskole, participants can choose between two distances: a scenic 20 km or an extended 30 km trek. The event features rolling trails and stunning viewpoints, with highlights including Denmark's deepest and most picturesque erosion valley nestled within the charming Vejle Ådal.
As you traverse through Nørreskov forest, be prepared to encounter ancient burial mounds, dried-up springs, and historical markers that add a layer of cultural richness to your journey. The Dyrehaven offers rare opportunities for wildlife encounters with deer and roe deer in their natural habitat.
The route is clearly marked, ensuring an easy navigation experience even as you enjoy the breathtaking winter scenery. Along the way, food trucks will provide warm meals at designated depots after approximately 14 km and again around the 21-km mark if you opt for the longer distance. Upon reaching the finish line, participants are greeted with a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie.
