The centerpiece of this event is the 24 Cider Challenge on Saturday, July 23rd, designed for solo runners looking to test their endurance in a fun and relaxed environment.
Participants can choose from several options: the full 24-hour challenge, the 12-hour night run, or the daytime 12-hour option that accommodates both individual runners and teams of up to five people. The event is open to all levels of fitness and experience—whether you're an avid runner or a casual walker, there's something for everyone.
The course winds through a privately owned farm by kind permission of its owner. Expect to traverse fields carpeted with wildflowers and crops, grassy meadows, and dusty tracks that offer varying terrain underfoot. This setting provides not only scenic beauty but also the unique opportunity to experience rural Devon in an up-close and personal way.
In addition to the main 24 Cider Challenge, there are several other events throughout the weekend including a Friday night 5k run starting at 7 PM, a Saturday morning 12-hour challenge kicking off at 8 AM, and on Sunday, runners can take part in either the Bell & Bumble Tad Longer Plod or Shorter Plod (starting at 9:00 AM), followed by an Apple Plod 10k run beginning at 10:30 AM. Each event offers a chance to explore different parts of the farm and enjoy the camaraderie among participants.
Participants are encouraged to set their own pace, aiming for one lap or pushing themselves further as they see fit. Regardless of distance covered, all finishers will receive a medal and goodies upon completion.
