New Year's Day 5K

Kick off the New Year with a bang by joining the #NYD5K on January 1, 2027. For just $27, you'll get to start your year at noon (registration starts at 1:00 PM) along the scenic Lake Olmstead Trailhead in Augusta, Georgia. The course is primarily paved with some compact dirt trails, offering a mix of terrain that will challenge and delight runners.
The first 250 registrants receive an exclusive finisher medal to commemorate their accomplishment as they ring in the New Year on foot or by walking. Participants can also opt for a $10 commemorative shirt during registration, but hurry—shirts are limited and only available until December 1, 2026.
For those who prefer to stay indoors, there's an option for virtual participation with swag shipped directly to your door (continental US lower 48 states). Virtual runners will still receive their finisher medal.
Packet pickup is on race day starting at 11:00 AM sharp, so be sure to arrive early and enjoy the festive atmosphere as you prepare for a memorable start to the new year.
