Nakawan Ultra

About the Event

Nestled in the heart of northern Malaysia's untamed wilderness lies the Nakawan Ultra, an epic journey through the Nakawan Range, Malaysia’s longest limestone mountain range that borders Thailand. This challenging course weaves runners across diverse terrains, from dense forest trails and winding village roads to expansive paddy fields, each segment testing both physical prowess and mental fortitude.
As participants ascend steep climbs, they are rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside when reaching the ridgeline. On clear mornings, there's a surreal sense of running above the clouds, offering an unforgettable visual spectacle that leaves runners in awe. The Nakawan Ultra is more than just a race; it’s an invitation to embrace the “Runcation” concept by exploring Perlis beyond the trails.
The event immerses participants in a raw and natural environment where wildlife sightings are common, including playful monkeys near the start area. This unique atmosphere sets the Nakawan Ultra apart from other trail running destinations, offering runners a genuine experience of Malaysia’s untouched beauty and rugged landscapes.
This race is designed for those who seek adventure and connection with nature, providing an immersive journey through some of Malaysia's most captivating terrain.
