Mt. Siguniang Mountaineering Festival

Experience the thrill of altitude and endurance at the 9th edition of the Mt. Siguniang Mountaineering Festival, scheduled for October 29, 2026. Nestled on the edge of the Tibetan Plateau in Sichuan Province, this event challenges climbers to conquer two majestic peaks: Da Feng (5,025m) and Er Feng (5,276m). Participants will navigate rugged terrain and breathtaking scenery as they race towards the summit, testing their limits against some of China's most formidable mountain faces. The festival celebrates both speed-climb and summit categories, offering a unique blend of competition and camaraderie among mountaineers from around the world.
The event not only highlights individual prowess but also fosters an atmosphere of respect for nature and cultural exchange with local communities. As climbers ascend through layers of alpine meadows, ice fields, and rocky outcrops, they are rewarded with panoramic views that stretch across vast valleys and snow-capped peaks. This is a true test of skill, endurance, and spirit in one of the world's most awe-inspiring natural settings.
