MOVE Day 5k

On May 15, 2027, runners will gather for a poignant and meaningful race that honors the memory of eleven individuals who lost their lives in the tragic MOVE bombing. This annual run aims to keep alive the stories and legacies of those affected by this devastating event while fostering community resilience and unity.
The route winds through neighborhoods closely connected to the victims' memories, offering participants an intimate look at both historical landmarks and personal tributes that dot the landscape. Each mile brings runners past murals, memorials, and heartfelt messages from residents who have turned their grief into a call for peace and justice.
While the race is open to all ages and skill levels, it carries a special significance as a day of reflection and solidarity. The event encourages participants not only to run but also to walk or jog at their own pace, ensuring everyone can take part in this meaningful journey together.
