Hermitage Merry Christmas Mile (Run/Walk)

On November 21, 2026, runners and walkers are invited to participate in the festive Holiday Mile, which begins just before the Hermitage Light Up Parade. This one-mile race kicks off on Kerrwood Drive near Kraynaks and winds down East State Street hill towards the Shenango Valley Mall, finishing at Route 18 past Hickory United Methodist Church. The course is lined with an enthusiastic crowd of up to 10,000 spectators who cheer runners along every step.
Participants can expect a vibrant atmosphere as they race through brightly lit streets and enjoy panoramic views of illuminated holiday decorations. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each age category: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and those aged 70 and above. In addition to these categories, the top male and female masters will also receive recognition.
The event culminates with a unique twist: prizes for the most creative costumes, adding an element of fun and creativity to the race day celebration. All awards are presented in the parking lot at Hickory United Methodist Church following the completion of the run.
