Midweek Chasing Numbers Feb 2027

Join us for the second Midweek Chasing Numbers run of 2027, an affordable and flexible running experience designed to cater to all abilities. This unique time challenge event offers runners complete control over their distance, with options ranging from a minimum of 3km up to ultra distances.
Set along the picturesque River Thames in Staines, this course provides a mix of well-maintained paths and grassy trails that can get muddy depending on seasonal conditions. The route is fully signed for easy navigation, making it accessible even for those without extensive trail experience. Participants are encouraged to wear appropriate footwear; while road shoes work year-round, trail shoes might be preferable during wetter periods.
The event boasts a wide range of start times from 7:30am until 3:30pm on Friday, February 26th, offering flexibility for busy schedules and varying preferences. All finishers who complete at least 3km will receive an official medal, while those tackling half-marathon distances or longer can earn distance pins to commemorate their achievement.
Aid stations are conveniently located near the start/finish area throughout the day, providing a selection of snacks including savory items, fruit, cheese, and vegan options. Finishers also enjoy goody bags filled with treats as part of their rewards for completing the challenge.
Participants who reach milestones such as their 50th or 100th event will receive special recognition with personalized running numbers bearing their names and the date of achievement.
The Last Hop pub serves as a hub, offering toilets available from 8am onwards. While there are no changing facilities on-site, participants can use the downstairs toilet area for changing purposes if needed.
Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park in Staines (TW18 4TP), and headphones are allowed during the run to help set your pace or motivate you through challenging sections of the course.
Registration will take place on race day before the start, with final instructions sent via email a week prior. This event aims to be inclusive for all runners and walkers seeking an affordable yet rewarding challenge along one of England's most scenic waterways.
