Step into the heart of London for an unforgettable run with our second Midweek Chasing Numbers race, set to take place this year. This flexible and affordable event welcomes runners of all abilities and even includes options for walkers, ensuring everyone can participate at their own pace. The day promises a full range of start times from 7:30 AM until 3:30 PM, giving you ample opportunity to fit the run into your schedule. Whether you're aiming to build mileage or simply enjoy a leisurely jog along the River Thames, this event offers unparalleled flexibility and inclusivity. Membership benefits are available for those looking to save on entry fees; members not only receive discounted rates but also secure their spot at every race they attend. Plus, each member will walk away with a mini-me medal pin as an added perk of participation. For runners affiliated with UK Athletics clubs, there's even more incentive: a £2 discount off your registration. The course winds along the picturesque River Thames and is marked clearly to ensure easy navigation without requiring any navigational skills. The terrain varies between well-maintained paths or tarmac (about 60%) and grassy trails that can become muddy in certain seasons, though road shoes are sufficient for year-round use. Trail runners may prefer a bit more traction with trail-specific footwear. Participants have the option to run as little as 3 kilometers or stretch their legs further towards half-marathon distances of up to 29 miles (47km) and beyond. The event is structured around laps, each approximately 4.37 miles long, allowing you to build your distance gradually throughout the day. Upon crossing the finish line after completing at least 3 kilometers, all runners will receive a commemorative medal celebrating their achievement. Those who tackle half-marathon distances or more can earn special pins recognizing these milestones: Half-Marathon, Mega-Half, Marathon, Ultra and 50km badges await those willing to push themselves. To fuel your journey, an abundance of snacks and drinks are available at the aid station located conveniently near both start and finish lines. A variety of treats including savory items, fruits, cheese plates and vegan options ensures everyone finds something they enjoy. If this event holds a special significance for you—perhaps marking a milestone such as reaching 50 or 100 runs—you can inform us ahead of time to receive personalized recognition with your name featured on your race number. On-site facilities include toilets at The Last Hop, though no changing rooms are provided. Downstairs bathrooms offer sufficient space if needed, accessible from early morning until the event concludes. For those requiring a secure place for personal items during their run, bags can be left in designated areas near start/finish but should not contain valuables due to limited supervision. Parking is available nearby at Bridge Street Car Park located in Staines, TW18 4TP. Detailed instructions regarding race day logistics and number pick-up will be communicated via email prior to the event date. Join us for a day filled with scenic views along the Thames, supportive camaraderie among fellow participants, and an environment that encourages everyone—from casual joggers to seasoned marathoners—to embrace their passion for running in style.
