Metro Aberdeen Proms 3K Winter Series November

The Metro Aberdeen Running Club is excited to present the Promenade 3K Winter Series for the winter season of 2026/2027. This annual race series takes place on The Beach Esplanade, offering runners a scenic route along Aberdeen's coastline.
Scheduled every first Friday from October through March, each event kicks off at precisely 1:00 PM. Participants can look forward to races on October 2nd, November 6th, December 4th, January 8th, February 5th, and concluding on March 5th. The course is meticulously measured by Jones Counter under the guidelines of SAL rules.
Race day registration isn't available; runners must pre-register for each race at a cost of £3 per event. A unique feature of this series is that participants are encouraged to retain their bib numbers throughout all six races, fostering a sense of continuity and camaraderie among competitors. Numbers will be issued on-site only, so it's essential to arrive early.
The starting point is conveniently located 150 meters north of the Beach Leisure Centre along the promenade, offering easy access for runners. The series culminates in overall awards based on accumulated times across three races, rewarding consistency and dedication throughout the season.
Metro Aberdeen Running Club also offers a separate Junior Dash series specifically designed for athletes under 16 years old, enhancing opportunities for young talent to participate safely within their own category.
For those who have registered but find themselves unable to compete due to unforeseen circumstances, there is an option to transfer your entry to another runner by contacting the race director via email with full details of the substitute participant.
