Memphis Running Festival

The Memphis Running Festival returns on April 10, 2027, offering runners of all ages and abilities an unforgettable day filled with community spirit and exhilarating challenges. At the heart of this vibrant celebration is the Old Forest Loop or Limestone Trail through Shelby Farms Park, where participants can choose their preferred route for a scenic run.
The centerpiece events are the endurance runs: a 12-hour solo challenge starting at 7:00 AM, inviting runners to push themselves as far as possible over multiple loops. For those looking for camaraderie and support, there's also a relay option where teams of three can rotate through six or twelve hours of running. The day is packed with additional races such as the 5K and 10K runs, ensuring everyone finds their perfect distance.
The festival extends its welcoming arms to children too, hosting a free Kids Dash at 9:30 AM along a family-friendly loop. Meanwhile, local running clubs converge for a fun-filled showcase from 10:00 AM onwards, providing opportunities to meet new friends and join groups that resonate with your passion for the sport.
As evening approaches, unique events like the Donut Dash (4:00 PM), The Single Loop Race (5:00 PM), and Three-Peat Relay (5:30 PM) add a playful twist. These races blend competition with creativity in ways you won't soon forget.
Aid stations are strategically placed throughout the day, offering water, electrolyte drinks, pancakes, bacon, and more to keep runners fueled and hydrated. Participants can also set up tents near Rainbow Lake Pavilion for their own aid supplies during the longer events.
All finishers will receive a commemorative t-shirt and medal, celebrating your achievement in this community-driven event that embodies Memphis's spirit of inclusivity and fun-loving attitude towards running.
