Peer Power Big River Crossing Race

On November 14, 2026, the Peer Power Foundation will host the 10th Annual Big River Crossing Race, an inspiring event that combines athletic challenge with community impact. Runners can choose from three different distances: a half-marathon starting at 8:30 AM, a 10K race beginning shortly after, and for those looking to enjoy a shorter but equally rewarding experience, there's the Family Fun Walk followed by a 5K run.
The centerpiece of this event is the half-marathon course, which winds across the Mississippi River on its longest public pedestrian bridge. This unique route offers runners an unparalleled view as they cross from Memphis into Arkansas, where the newly paved asphalt awaits them for a smooth and scenic journey along the riverfront. Participants will enjoy breathtaking vistas of Downtown Memphis and sweeping panoramas of the Arkansas floodplains.
For those who prefer shorter distances but still want to be part of this memorable day, the 10K race offers an exciting challenge with its own distinct start time at 8:45 AM. The Family Fun Walk is designed for all ages to enjoy together, featuring a one-mile loop in Tom Lee Park that hugs the river’s edge.
All participants will receive medals and dry-tech long-sleeve race shirts as tokens of their achievement. This event not only celebrates athletic prowess but also supports Peer Power Foundation's mission to enhance educational opportunities and youth development through peer mentoring programs in Memphis. The foundation has been transforming lives for over two decades, providing crucial academic support and social-emotional guidance to students facing socioeconomic challenges.
Join the Big River Crossing Race this fall and contribute to a cause that enriches communities while offering an unforgettable running experience.
