About the Event

Embark on a marathon journey through time along the sun-kissed shores of Malta for the La Valette Marathon, set to take place on March 21, 2027. This unique race offers runners an unparalleled blend of historical significance and scenic beauty as they traverse the island's enchanting coastal paths.
The event celebrates the rich tapestry of Maltese history, stretching back over seven millennia. From ancient megalithic temples to robust medieval fortifications, every step reveals a new chapter in Malta’s storied past. The route itself is an AIMS-certified course and part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors series.
The marathon culminates at Valletta's historic bastions, iconic remnants of Grand Master Jean de La Valette's heroic defense during the Great Siege of 1565. This strategic location not only marks a pivotal moment in European history but also serves as a poignant reminder of Malta’s enduring spirit and resilience.
As runners navigate through this vibrant island nation, they will be surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea on one side and centuries-old architecture on the other, creating an immersive experience that seamlessly blends past and present. Join us for an unforgettable race where every mile is steeped in history and beauty.
Experience Malta’s legacy firsthand at the La Valette Marathon – a race through time along its breathtaking coastlines.
