Get ready for an eerie and thrilling night out with the return of La Traver'Scie-Trouille, formerly known as Le VTT de la Scie's Halloween-themed mountain bike ride. This year’s edition promises to be just as spooky and enjoyable as ever.
The event features three distinct cycling routes designed to cater to all levels of riders:
- Grand Parcours: A 30km trek with a challenging climb totaling 450 meters, starting at 7:00 PM.

- Moyen Parcours: For those seeking an intermediate challenge, this route covers 21km and includes 250m of elevation gain. The group start time is set for 7:05 PM.
- Petit Parcours: A shorter but still exciting option at 9km with a climb of 120 meters, kicking off at 7:10 PM.
For the more adventurous and daring participants looking to explore on foot, there are also walking routes available:
- Two pedestrian courses of 8km and 10km respectively, both starting together at 7:15 PM.
Adding an extra layer of excitement is a unique feature where riders and walkers will encounter hordes of zombies during their journey through the park. This adds to the Halloween spirit while ensuring that everyone remains alert throughout the event.
All participants can look forward to refreshment stops along each route, offering a warm bowl of pumpkin soup to keep them energized as they navigate the trails under moonlight or with bike lights illuminating the way ahead.
Safety is paramount: all cyclists are required to wear helmets and ensure their bikes have adequate lighting. Reflective clothing and bright accessories will also be mandatory for visibility in low-light conditions. And, good news for young thrill-seekers aged 12 years old and under – they can join the fun free of charge!
