Konaseema Half Marathon 2027

On January 31, 2027, the Konaseema Godavari Runners Association (Ravulapalem) is set to host the second edition of their flagship event: the Konaseema Half Marathon. This inaugural half marathon in the Konaseema district promises a scenic and engaging course through lush green landscapes. Participants can choose from four categories—5km, 10km, and 21.1km—and compete for prizes totaling ₹2 lakhs across various age groups.
The race route winds through coconut groves, banana plantations, canal bunds, and expansive fields, offering runners a picturesque journey through the heart of Konaseema's natural beauty. With an expected turnout of approximately 4,000 enthusiastic participants, this event promises to be a vibrant celebration of running in one of India’s most scenic regions.
The half marathon itself is titled "Jawan Run" and features open categories for both genders, while the 10km run is known as the "Kisan Run." The 5km category, named after Sir Arthur Cotton, includes unique divisions such as High School (up to 14 years), Youth (15-25 years), Masters (26-40 years), and Veterans (41-55 years). For younger participants, a fun-filled 3K run is available for primary school children up to ten years old.
This event not only celebrates athletic achievement but also fosters community spirit in the vibrant Konaseema district.
