KNYSNA WATERFRONT HALF MARATHON

On November 14, 2026, runners will gather at the picturesque Knysna Waterfront for an exhilarating race day that offers stunning coastal views along with competitive excitement. The event features three distances: a fun run of 5 km, a scenic 10 km out-and-back route hugging the water's edge, and a challenging half marathon of 21.1 km.
The half marathon course winds through Knysna’s iconic Waterfront before heading to Leisure Isle via Coney Glen Road, providing runners with breathtaking vistas along the way. The flat terrain of the shorter distances is ideal for those looking to achieve fast times or set personal bests in a picturesque setting.
Race day registration closes on November 9th and no entries will be accepted after that date. Temporary residents and out-of-province participants must collect their race numbers at KMC Clubhouse between 17:00 and 20:00 on the evening before the event, which is crucial for ensuring a smooth start.
Participants can park in designated areas near the Waterfront and enjoy post-race festivities with prize-giving ceremonies scheduled at 9:00 AM for the 10 km race and 10:00 AM for the half marathon. All finishers will receive medals, while top competitors in various age categories stand to earn equal prize money.
For those seeking accommodation, Knysna Hollow offers comfortable stays near the event venue. With all runners required to wear club colors during awards ceremonies, it promises a vibrant and community-driven atmosphere that celebrates athletic achievement against a backdrop of natural beauty.
