Knox Park 6 Hour Ultra & Relay

Six hours. One track. Solo or team. The Knox Park 6 Hour Ultra & Relay returns on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Knox Park, Morphett Vale (South Australia). Organized by Southern Athletic Club. A test of endurance, strategy, and teamwork — whether you're an ultra runner chasing maximum distance, or a relay squad of up to 6 members rotating laps. Electric trackside atmosphere. No cutoffs except the clock.

Location & Venue:

• Knox Park, Kalimna Walk, Morphett Vale SA (southern suburbs of Adelaide)
• Certified 400m athletics track — flat, predictable, ideal for tracking lap splits
• On‑site facilities: toilets, changing rooms, sheltered areas for team tents
• Spectators can set up along the track fence — close to the action for all 6 hours
• Ample parking near the park

Race Format & Strategy:

• The 6‑hour clock starts at 8:00 AM sharp. Runners may stop, rest, eat, or change shoes — the clock keeps running.
• Final lap: runners may complete a last full lap after the 6‑hour mark (must be started before the siren).
• Distance tracking: chip timing records each lap. Results show total distance covered (nearest 0.01 km).
• Relay teams: any number of laps per runner, any order. Tag in the exchange zone. Teams can pre‑plan rotations or adapt on the fly.
• No minimum distance — everyone who starts gets a result, but finisher medals typically require at least marathon distance (check event rules).

Pricing (AUD) — Solo Ultra:

• Members‑only early bird: $40 (Nov 22–29)
• Early bird: $50 (Nov 30 – Dec 31)
• Standard: $60 (Jan 1 – May 31)
• Late entry: $70 (June 1–10)

Pricing — Relay Team Captain (per team, up to 6 members):

• Early bird: $210
• Standard: $240

Relay team members register for free after the captain has paid — member‑only early bird rates apply to those with Southern Athletic Club membership.

Logistics:

• Race day check‑in opens at 7:00 AM
• Bib pickup on race day at Knox Park (no pre‑race day pickup mentioned — check event updates)
• Parking at Knox Park and surrounding streets (arrive early — limited on‑site spaces)
• No dogs allowed on the track (service animals excepted)
• Strollers not permitted on the running surface (strollers can be left in team area)
