Grange, known for its picturesque coastline and laid-back atmosphere, hosts this race along the Henley Beach south coast path. The air on July mornings is crisp and invigorating, carrying a hint of salt from the nearby waters. As dawn breaks over Grange Jetty Reserve, runners and walkers gather to soak in the serene surroundings before setting off at 7:00 am.
The GOLD Coastal supports not only the coastal community but also the Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF). This year’s event will see a trophy awarded to the winner of each distance as part of its “GOLD” theme. All runners and walkers receive fully engraved finisher medals, marking their participation in this meaningful cause. Every dollar raised contributes significantly towards ending cancer.
The course for this 2026 edition is an AIMS measured 7.0325km loop that takes participants from Grange Jetty Reserve to Henley Beach South and back along the coastal bike/walk path. The route offers a mix of smooth, well-maintained paths with occasional gentle inclines but no significant elevation changes.
At race start/finish, runners will find themselves in an area rich with local amenities—right next to Grange Jetty Reserve, the Grange Hotel, and the Grange Jetty Cafe. Participants can enjoy pre-race refreshments or post-race recovery options here after crossing the finish line.
Weather conditions on July 5th typically bring a comfortable average temperature of 11.4°C with high humidity at 76.6%. Runners should expect light to moderate breezes averaging around 14 km/h, and while there's no significant chance of rain, it’s wise to be prepared for unexpected changes in the climate.
Registration is open until noon three days before race day; visit https://raceroster.com/events/2026/118042/gold-coastal-2026-run-gold for more details. Bib pickup will take place at Grange Jetty Reserve on race morning from 5:30 am onwards, where participants should bring their ID and payment method.
Remember to mark your calendars for July 5th in 2026 as you join the GOLD Coastal - RUN GOLD event in Grange, South Australia. With its relaxed vibe and meaningful cause, this run promises an unforgettable experience that benefits both body and soul.
