Kakogawa Relay Marathon (Reiwa 8 Annual Edition, 37th Kakogawa Marathon Event Alternative) (加古川リレーマラソン（令和8年度（第37回）加古川マラソン大会代替イベント）)

In response to ongoing construction work that has rendered the planned marathon course unusable for the 2023 season, organizers have introduced an exciting alternative: the Kakogawa Relay Marathon. This team-oriented race allows participants to split up a predetermined distance among teammates in a relay format, making it accessible and enjoyable for runners of all skill levels.
Teams can choose their own number of laps and exchange points based on their strategy and preferences. The event welcomes both competitive teams looking to test their speed and endurance as well as recreational groups seeking an engaging way to spend the day together.
Entry fees vary depending on the type of relay:
- Full Marathon Relay: ¥3,000 per person
- High School Half Marathon Relay: ¥1,000 per participant
- Family Relay: ¥1,500 for each middle school student and above; ¥500 for elementary school students
Participants can enjoy the scenic routes of Kakogawa while experiencing a unique team-based challenge. This event promises to be an unforgettable day filled with camaraderie and fun.
The relay format offers flexibility in pacing and strategy, allowing teams to tailor their approach based on individual strengths and preferences. Whether you're part of a seasoned racing squad or bringing together family members for the first time, the Kakogawa Relay Marathon invites everyone to celebrate running in a supportive community setting.
