Joint Special Operations (JSO) 10K Run and 5K Walk

Join us on November 14, 2026, for the 30th Annual Joint Special Operations (JSO) 10K Run and 5K Walk at Historic Fort Bragg. This unique off-road race offers a challenging course that winds through scenic tank trails and fire breaks, providing an experience unlike any other in the area.
The JSO 10K features an all-off-road trail course with terrain ranging from dirt and sand to gravel and mud. Participants can expect a rugged route full of twists and turns, making it perfect for both experienced trail runners and casual enthusiasts looking for something different. The race is open to all ages and abilities, but spots are limited to 600 registered participants.
While the majority of racers come from Fort Bragg and nearby Fayetteville, many also travel from neighboring states just to take part in this special event. It's a celebration not only of athleticism but also of community spirit as runners gather to support military members, veterans, and their families who contribute so much to our society.
Registration fees are $35 until September 30, 2026, rising to $40 thereafter. Packet pickup is available on November 12 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Airborne Innovation Lab Parking Lot and on November 13 from noon to 3:00 PM at DICK's World of Sports Freedom Town Center in Fayetteville.
On race day, participants will receive a long-sleeve T-shirt, a commemorative calendar, and coupons for discounts at local stores. The event also includes post-race refreshments like fried croissants from Superior Bakery and donuts from Krispy Kreme, along with water and coffee provided by Mindful Mug.
Awards are given to the top male and female overall finishers as well as the first three in each age group. Special recognition goes to the oldest and youngest 10K participants. Additionally, all racers who cross the finish line within the first 500 will receive a commemorative JSO 10K Finisher's Coin.
The race is part of the Triangle Race Series and offers an opportunity for runners to salute our military community while enjoying a challenging course in one of North Carolina’s most historic locations.
