Isle of Wight Fell Race Series 2027

Ventnor, located on the picturesque Isle of Wight, hosts an exhilarating weekend of fell running events starting September 11, 2027. The series kicks off with Race 1 at St Boniface Fell, a challenging ascent covering just over 3 kilometers and rising to a height of 235 meters. This race offers runners stunning coastal views as they navigate rugged terrain.
Later on the same day, participants can tackle the Ventnor Horseshoe, a more demanding course stretching 12 kilometers with an elevation gain of 443 meters. The route winds through varied landscapes, showcasing both scenic sea cliffs and lush inland areas.
The following morning, Sunday, September 12th, runners will face the Wroxall Round, the longest race in the series at a distance of 21 kilometers and a climb of 487 meters. This course features diverse terrain with rolling hills that test endurance and strength alike.
All races start near Ventnor's seafront and finish within St Catherine’s School grounds, offering easy access to amenities like toilets for runners. The school also serves as the race headquarters where participants can collect their numbers starting at 9:00 am on both days.
This event is part of the South Eastern Athletic Association (SEAA) Fell Running Championships, requiring competitors to complete all three races and adhere to specific eligibility criteria set by SEAA or FRA membership.
