The Ironbiker Challenge, set against the backdrop of Mariana, Minas Gerais, Brazil, offers cyclists an unforgettable two-day experience on September 18 and 19, 2027. The race kicks off with a social event on Friday evening at 7:00 PM, featuring potential urban elite competitions and networking opportunities. On the morning of Saturday, September 18, participants gather in Mariana’s historic center for the start line located at Praça Gomes Freire (Jardim). Cyclists will take off in two waves based on their chosen route. The first wave begins at 7:30 AM with both full and reduced course competitors starting simultaneously after a brief check-in from 6:30 to 7:20 AM. A second wave follows shortly thereafter, beginning the shorter route's competition promptly at 8:20 AM. The scenic routes wind through picturesque landscapes around Mariana, featuring diverse terrains that challenge even the most seasoned riders. The full course on both days totals an impressive distance of over 167 kilometers (Saturday’s 88 km and Sunday’s 80 km), while those opting for a more manageable option cover approximately 113 kilometers in total across two days. Competitors can expect to navigate through historic sites, lush forests, and rolling hills as they pedal their way towards the finish line.
