Ikaruga no Sato Prince Shōtoku Marathon - 80th Anniversary of Town System Establishment, 4th Edition Marathon Division (町制80周年記念 第4回 いかるがの里 聖徳太子マラソン【マラソンの部】)

Experience the rich history and cultural heritage of Asuka on February 14, 2027, as you run through this ancient town. The course winds past UNESCO World Heritage sites such as Hōryū-ji's East Pagoda and West Pagoda, offering a unique blend of sacred architecture and natural beauty. Along the way, runners will encounter historical landmarks like Tōnomine Imperial Palace Ruins and the Fudaraku-tsu no Hazama Tomb, immersing them in Asuka’s storied past.
Adding to the excitement is the presence of notable athletes such as Chiba Makoto, a bronze medalist at the World Athletics Championships Paris Marathon, and Shimonuma Miki from Osaka University's women's relay team. Their participation promises an energized atmosphere for all runners on this special day celebrating Asuka’s 80th anniversary as a town.
Registration fees are ¥4,000 for general participants and ¥2,000 for high school students.
