Icebreaker Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K On Sunday, January 23, 2027, runners will gather at Eisenhower Park's Field 2 Parking Lot to take on the Icebreaker Marathon, Half Marathon, and 5K. This event offers a unique opportunity for athletes of all levels to kick off their racing season in style. The marathon and half marathon courses feature scenic loops through fully closed roads and park paths within Eisenhower Park, providing participants with stunning views and a comfortable running environment. The certified course ensures that runners aiming for Boston Marathon qualification will have the chance to secure those coveted spots. Water stations are strategically placed along both race routes, ensuring that all competitors stay hydrated throughout their journey. Participants can also enjoy various nutrition stops designed to keep them fueled during this challenging winter event. For a more relaxed experience, runners can opt for the 5K race which starts earlier in the morning and is equally scenic but offers a shorter distance perfect for those looking to ease into the season or test their speed over a brisk early January run. All participants will receive a long sleeve tech shirt as well as a finisher medal upon completion of their chosen event. Additionally, registrants can take advantage of an exclusive $5 off coupon code for the 15th Annual 10 Mile Brewery Run in Memory of Ric DiVeglio on January 17th. This race is not just about personal achievement; it's also a celebration of community and camaraderie. Spectators are welcome to cheer runners along the course, adding an extra layer of excitement for participants as they push themselves through challenging terrain.
