The Winter Edition of the Hyderabad City Slam Run 2027 is set to conclude the inaugural year-long running series, bringing together runners from across India for an exhilarating half marathon on January 3rd, 2027. This event not only marks a significant milestone in the city's vibrant running community but also serves as the final leg of the Hyderabad City Slam journey. The Winter Run offers several race categories to cater to different levels and interests: - 21.1K Timed Run: The official qualifying category for the Hyderabad City Slam, this half marathon is designed for seasoned runners looking to complete their Slam journey.
- 10K Timed Run: A shorter yet challenging option that provides a professional race experience in an exciting atmosphere. - 5K Fun Run and 5K Timed Run: Ideal for beginners or those who want a more relaxed run, these categories offer scenic routes through Hyderabad’s winter landscape. For runners unable to attend the event in person due to location constraints, Virtual Run options are available. Participants can complete their virtual runs between January 2nd and January 4th, 2027, using GPS-enabled devices or running apps such as Garmin, COROS, Strava, Nike Run Club, among others. The Hyderabad City Slam is a year-long series consisting of three editions: Summer, Monsoon, and Winter. Completing all three categories earns participants the title of an official Hyderabad City Slam Finisher, along with exclusive benefits like a special medal commemorating their achievement. Participants who have already completed previous stages in 2026 can finish off their journey at this winter event to claim their status as a full-fledged Slam runner. Newcomers are also welcome and encouraged to start the cycle from here, aiming for future editions. The race is organized by The High Five Tribe with support from HMDA (Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority), Telangana Tourism, and local running communities. Hyderabad is the capital and largest city of the Indian state of Telangana.
