Sankalp Suraksha Run - 2nd Edition

On December 6, 2026, the city of Hyderabad will host the Sankalp Suraksha Run, an inspiring and impactful race dedicated to raising awareness about child safety. This annual event has been organized since 2007 by Sankalp, a pioneering organization focused on educating communities about safeguarding children from abuse.
The run offers three categories for participants of all ages: the 3K "Change Starts Her" route designed specifically for young girls aged 6 to 15; the 5K "Run for Child Safety," open to both adults and older children (ages 6-15); and a challenging 10K timed race aimed at adult runners. The event promises an engaging atmosphere with a mix of enthusiastic participants, supporters cheering along the route, and volunteers dedicated to making this year's run memorable.
Registration fees include a goodie bag containing essential items such as T-shirts, caps, bibs, and energy drinks for all categories except children’s 5K and 3K races. On race day, every finisher will receive a medal and be treated to a healthy breakfast along with a sugar-free protein shake.
The event venue in Hyderabad is set up to accommodate over two thousand runners across the three categories. Participants can expect an atmosphere that fosters community engagement while promoting important messages about child safety education within schools through Sankalp's initiatives like Child Safety Cells.
Registration for this year’s run opens on November 8, 2026, with a closing date of November 30, 2026. For more information or assistance regarding the event, participants can contact Hemalatha Vijayaraghavan at [email protected], Likhita Sriram at [email protected], or Poulina at [email protected].
