Hastings Half Marathon

Experience the vibrant energy and stunning seaside setting of Hastings with the 2027 Hastings Half Marathon. Set for Sunday, March 21st at 10:30 AM, this race offers runners an unforgettable journey through East Sussex's scenic coastal landscapes.
This year marks a new addition to the event lineup – the Hastings Half Marathon Relay. Participants can team up with friends or family members and split the challenging course into two distinct sections. One runner tackles the hilly terrain while their partner enjoys the fast, flat stretch along the coast, culminating in an exhilarating finish line celebration.
The main half marathon route takes runners on a journey through rolling hills before descending to the seaside promenade for a thrilling sprint to the finish. The race is renowned for its enthusiastic crowds and supportive community atmosphere from start to finish. Live music and cheering spectators create an electrifying environment throughout the day, enhancing every runner's experience.
The fast coastal stretch offers scenic views along Sea Road with closed roads until 13:00, ensuring a smooth and speedy run towards the grand finale. All participants receive a bespoke finisher medal, virtual goody bag, and post-race oceanfront festivities to celebrate their achievement.
For younger racers aged 7-16 years old, there's also the Claremont Mini Run – a high-energy 2km dash starting at 10:55 AM. This event is a favorite among families, offering finisher medals for all participants and opportunities for parents to run alongside or meet their children at the finish line.
Hastings Half Heroes Entry includes an optional £10 donation to support local charities through the Hastings Lions Club. Your contribution helps fund important community projects in East Sussex.
Prize money is awarded based on finishing positions, with a special bonus of £1,000 for breaking the course record. The event information packet will be sent out prior to race day, and detailed route maps are available online.
