Graigue/Ballycallan AC Family FunRun/Walk in association with St.Aidan's Parents Association 2027

Step into the heart of Ireland for an unforgettable running experience with Graigue/Ballycallan Athletics Club’s annual 5K and 10K races. On March 14, 2027, runners will traverse scenic routes that wind through charming countryside landscapes and historic villages. The event offers a mix of flat terrain and gentle hills, providing both newcomers and seasoned athletes with an inviting challenge.
The race starts in the picturesque village square where participants are greeted by enthusiastic local supporters and the vibrant sounds of community spirit. As you set off, take in the rolling green fields that stretch out before you, punctuated by quaint cottages and ancient stone walls. The 5K route offers a quick but scenic loop through this idyllic setting, while the 10K extends further into the countryside, rewarding runners with more expansive views of the surrounding hills.
Both races are family-friendly events with ample support along the course from volunteers who provide water stations and words of encouragement at key points. The finish line returns to the village square where participants can enjoy refreshments provided by St. Aidan's Parents Association while relishing in their achievement. This event is not just a race, but an opportunity to connect with nature and community alike.
For those looking for more than just a run, there will be activities for all ages set up around the village square post-race, making it a day out rather than simply a morning of exercise. Whether you’re a local or visiting from afar, this race promises an authentic taste of Irish hospitality and charm.
