Georgina Spring Fling 2027

The Georgina Spring Fling Marathon offers runners an exceptional experience with its fast, flat course along the picturesque shores of Lake Simcoe. The 41st edition of this certified Boston qualifier marathon is set for Sunday, May 2, 2027, starting at 7:30 am.
Participants can choose from a full marathon, half marathon, or 10K route. A 5K option will also be available to welcome families and casual runners looking for an active day out. The race is conveniently located in Georgina, approximately 45 minutes north of Toronto via the 404, making it accessible for athletes from various regions including the Greater Golden Horseshoe area.
The course promises a scenic journey with its lakefront setting, providing breathtaking views throughout the run. Spectator support will be plentiful along the route, boosted by dedicated cheering stations and music from local radio stations HITS 105.5 FM and K-Country 93.7. This ensures runners maintain their energy levels and motivation.

Due to safety concerns and narrow roads, strollers and dogs are not permitted during the race. Athletes planning to bring their own nutrition should carry it themselves as aid stations only offer water and electrolyte drinks every 2.5 km.
Race kits can be picked up at one of three locations: Oakville on April 28th from 5 pm to 7 pm, Toronto on April 29th from 1 pm to 6 pm (location TBA), or Georgina on May 1st from 12 pm to 6 pm at the Briars Resort and Spa's Grand Ballroom. Alternatively, a mail-out option is available for those unable to attend in person.
For marathon runners only, there will be a self-serve aid station where special needs bags can be placed after the half-way point. These must be clearly marked with bib numbers and collected at the designated table on race morning.
Pace bunnies are provided for both distances: 1:30 to 2:25 hours for the half marathon, and 3:20 to 4:40 hours for the full marathon. Runners can enjoy free overflow parking in nearby lots with shuttle services available from 5:30 am until 2 pm.
