GATE River Run 15K for Elite Athletes 2027

On March 6, 2027, the Gate River Run celebrates its 50th anniversary as one of America’s premier road races and the USATF 15K Championship. This year's edition is part of the Professional Road Running Organization (PRRO) Circuit, featuring world-class competition from both U.S. and international athletes. The race offers a total guaranteed prize purse of $100,000, with separate awards for overall top finishers and American competitors.
Elite women will take to the starting line at 7:55 AM, followed by elite men five minutes later. Runners can look forward to navigating through Jacksonville's scenic waterfront area, where historic landmarks and bustling city life create a vibrant backdrop. The race course is certified by both USATF and World Athletics, ensuring fair competition on an accurately measured distance.
In addition to the main prize money distribution, there are special bonuses for breaking records or leading at key intervals: $500 for being in the lead after 5K, and substantial cash rewards for setting new world, American, or course records. The top male and female finishers also qualify for a Super Bonus of $10,000 if they win both their circuit event and the championship race at next year's Gate River Run.
With its rich history and competitive spirit, this year’s edition promises to be an unforgettable experience for elite athletes and spectators alike.
