The Garware Wai Half Marathon (WHM), now in its seventh edition, aims to empower athletes from underprivileged rural and remote regions across India. Organized by Team Wai Marathon, a nonprofit organization rooted in the town of Wai, this event is more than just a race; it's a commitment to fostering health awareness and building a stronger community. Participants can look forward to an invigorating journey along the picturesque Krishna River, surrounded by lush greenery and rolling hills. The route offers stunning views of Dhom Dam and the serene landscapes that characterize ancient Wai, making this marathon a memorable experience for runners from all backgrounds. Beyond the scenic beauty, each step taken during the Garware WHM contributes to a greater cause. Funds raised through the event support initiatives led by MAF (Marathon Athlete Foundation), which has been dedicated to developing athletes from underprivileged areas for over 15 years.
