Experience the captivating return of The Portside Spectacle 2026 on October 30th at Lighthouse Park in South Australia. This coastal race offers distances tailored for runners of all abilities: 7km, 14km, and half marathon routes. Lighthouse Park provides a unique blend of familiar paths for seasoned athletes and new challenges for newcomers. The diverse terrain along its coastal path showcases South Australia’s natural beauty, from sandy stretches to rocky outcrops, all while offering continuous encouragement. The race begins at 08:00 with the 7km run, followed by the 14km route starting at 08:30 and the half marathon kicking off at 09:00.
This event has grown in popularity since its inception, attracting over 500 participants annually to support the Australian Cancer Research Foundation (ACRF). The 'SUNRISE' theme adds a vibrant twist with an exciting prize for the best representation of this color scheme. Weather conditions on race day average around 17°C, with temperatures ranging from as low as 13°C to as high as 22°C and humidity levels typically at about 65%, creating comfortable running conditions.
Bib pickup is available but it's recommended you arrive early for a smooth process. Race bibs and finisher medals are included in all distances and can be collected at check-in from 7:30am on race morning, starting your journey with the necessary gear and recognition. Registration fees are A$25 for the 7km run, A$32 for the 14km route, and A$38 for the half marathon.
