FUR ULTRA 2027

Welcome to the enchanting island of Fur for the 2027 edition of Fur Ultra, set against the breathtaking backdrop of Limfjord. This unique race offers runners an unforgettable experience on one of Denmark's most picturesque and historically significant islands.
Participants will traverse a diverse course that showcases some of Fur’s most iconic landmarks such as Bette Jens Hyw, Den Røde Sten, Svenskehulen, Knudeklinterne, Hwistlestow, and Færker Odde. The 25 km route starts at noon while the more challenging 50 km option begins earlier in the morning.
The race takes runners through small and large forest trails, gravel paths, open terrain, and along stunning stretches of coastline. With its undulating landscape reaching up to a peak elevation of 75 meters, this course is both scenic and demanding. In case of high water levels on Limfjord, expect brief sections where the path hugs the shoreline.
All participants will receive a commemorative Fur Ultra buff upon completion and enjoy post-race refreshments from Fur Bryghus. A mandatory item list includes at least one liter of hydration to keep runners fueled throughout their journey.
For those tackling the 50 km distance, there's an opportunity for a resupply bag near the halfway mark in both directions, ensuring you have everything needed for this epic adventure across Denmark’s enchanting island terrain.
The Fur Ultra promises not just a race but an immersive experience that celebrates nature and community. Join us on March 20, 2027, to run through one of Scandinavia's most spectacular settings!
