Frosty 15

Frosty 15 offers runners an invigorating challenge through the historic Yockanookany section of the Natchez Trace National Scenic Trail, located near Madison, Mississippi. Set for Saturday, February 13, 2027, this out-and-back trail race features a rugged single-track course that winds from mile marker 108 to Highway 43 and back over a distance of 15.5 miles or an alternative 15K route with its own turnaround point.
Participants will encounter the unique texture left by horse hooves on the well-trodden trail, adding character to each step along this scenic path that meanders through natural beauty and rich history. The race begins at the West Florida Boundary historic site on Natchez Trace Parkway (milepost 107.9) with a strict registration cap of 120 runners across both distances.
Aid stations are strategically placed at mile 2.75 and mile 7.75 for the longer course, providing essential hydration and nutrition to help you push through the challenging terrain within the five-hour time limit. Post-race refreshments include warm grilled cheese sandwiches and hearty soup to soothe your muscles after the grueling yet rewarding journey.
Registration opens on November 1, 2026, at midnight with a price increase from $50 to $60 starting January 1st for MUTS members who receive a discount. No race day registration is available; instead, packet pick-up takes place Friday evening or Saturday morning before the start time.
Join Frosty 15 and experience not only a challenging trail run but also contribute to the growth of ultra and trail running in Mississippi through this event organized by the dedicated Mississippi Ultra and Trail Society (MUTS).
