Foulées de Jacquemart

On October 24, 2026, the city of Moulins and the local association M.Q.H. invite runners to explore the historic heart of this charming town after dark during an evening full of fun and camaraderie. The event features a unique urban trail run followed by a leisurely walk through the scenic streets.
The main attraction is a 5 km trail that breaks away from traditional road races, offering a challenging course with cobblestones, tight turns, steep climbs, and descents. This transformation of the city into an adventurous terrain promises to test runners' endurance as they navigate its historic quarters. The race will be timed using electronic chip technology, ensuring accurate results for all participants.
To ensure that the walk begins promptly at 19:45, a cutoff time has been set for the trail run at 20 minutes past the hour—participants must complete the course within 40 minutes to join in on the subsequent walking event. This rule helps maintain the flow of activities and ensures everyone can enjoy both parts of the evening.
The walk portion covers 2.5 km, allowing participants to leisurely discover or rediscover the landmarks and narrow streets that make Moulins so special. It's an opportunity for runners who have already completed their race to slow down and appreciate the beauty of this historic district under the soft glow of streetlights.
Dogs are welcome at both events but must be kept on a leash throughout, adhering strictly to Article 7 of the event regulations for safety reasons.
This semi-nocturnal experience promises an engaging mix of physical challenge and cultural exploration, perfect for anyone looking to enjoy Moulins' rich heritage in a unique setting.
