FOBS 5K Trail Run and Colour Run

On Sunday, October 18th, 2026, Friends of Box School (FOBS) invite you to join them for an unforgettable day at Box Village in Wiltshire. The event features two exciting runs: a vibrant Colour Run and a scenic 5k Trail Run.
The festivities begin with the Color Run at 1pm. This non-competitive event is designed to be enjoyed by all ages and abilities, promising fun rather than speed. Participants will navigate an 800-meter loop around Box Village twice, encountering four color stations along the way where volunteers generously shower runners with vibrant powder. Whether you walk or jog, this run celebrates community spirit and a love for lively colors.
Following the Color Run at 1:30pm is the challenging yet rewarding 5k Trail Run through the picturesque Bybrook Valley. This mixed-terrain course winds its way through grassy fields, offering runners stunning views of the historic Box Tunnel. The route is meticulously marked with clear signage and supported by enthusiastic volunteers throughout.
All participants in the 5k will benefit from chip timing provided by raceahead's local team based in Corsham, ensuring accurate results for every finisher. Wildlife enthusiasts may also spot otters along the Bybrook River during their run.
Registration opens at noon on event day, allowing ample time to explore the rec area near the start/finish line before the races begin. Refreshments such as tea, coffee, cake, and hot dogs are available for purchase throughout the afternoon. To minimize environmental impact, organizers encourage walking, cycling or carpooling to the venue due to limited parking facilities.
This inaugural event, organized by dedicated parents of Box Primary School, aims to raise funds that will directly benefit the school's children through enhanced experiences and improved wellbeing initiatives. All proceeds from this community-driven race go towards enriching the lives of young students at Box Primary School.
