Enchanted Forest Ultra Run

Calling all Princesses and Princes :

Update: A great place to "get away from it all" ! The Enchanted will be on Saturday March 20, 2027 and will start at 8:30 am (EST) until 2:30 pm. It is a great race for training, in fact the Enchanted 6 hour feeds training for the Fogotten 9 hour Saturday (May 15), which leads to the Centurion 100 Miler June 24, 25, 26, 27 for a 100 mile buckle. Go the Distance, have fun and remember "Costumes optional Smiles are not ! So plan ahead on each race. Trees are blooming, flowers are starting to grow and what better way to experience it than running or hiking the trails?! This 6 hour/50k ultra gives you the chance to do just that! Complete as many miles or hours as you wish within the 6 hours, or aim for that 50K milestone. This is an excellent race for both novice and seasoned trail runners, and a great training run for those tackling longer distances later in the season including the Centurion 33 hour/100 miler. Costumes for this race are encouraged (but not required)...there’s nothing better than fairies and unicorns prancing through the forest on a magical March day!

The Course:

The course will be an irregular loop of 2.3 miles with an elevation each loop of 191 feet. The trails are single and double track with typical New England trails of roots, rocks and rolling hills, Course markings will consist of signs and flags, no getting lost !

Race Details:

Roosevelt Forest is located at GPS address of 700 Peters Lane, Stratford, CT Bib pick up and registration starts at 7 am at the pavilion next to the parking lot Race start is 8:30 am Park "comfortably" close since the parking lot is small, also larger vehicles to the side lot, (no RV's).

Registration:

This Ultra is limited to 50 Participants, meaning you are not one of 200 to 400 participants, so this is “your personal race for your personal best”. To maintain the competitive integrity of the event, registration is final. Please understand that there are absolutely no refunds, bib transfers or race deferrals for any reason. CDC/State/Town requirements are strictly applied. You must be at least 18 years old or have a Parental/Guardian signed waiver. Entry fees collected are used to develop and produce the event, starting well in advance of the race date--including course preparation, race supplies, permits, and administration. Additionally, numerous diversified charities receive some support from each of the Roosevelt Forest Ultras.

Swag, Awards and Fuel:

Excellent ultra hydration and food options are provided. Different pizza choices about noon, including pickle pizza. Lots of good swag is included in your race entry, including non-alcoholic beer from our sponsor Athletic Brewing. Additional swag is available for purchase at the race. Race t-shirts are available for purchase when registering. Podium awards are for most miles achieved by the end of the race (2:30 pm) Podium awards are given for the most miles achieved by the end of the race at 2:30 pm. Top three Women and Top Three Men receive podium awards. Additionally, anyone completing over 4 hours during the 6 hours in the Enchanted Rorest will receive an Enchanted Ultra Event Medallion.

Post Race:

Congratulations! Feel free to stick around and cheer on other runners. The fireplace in the pavilion will be roaring, if permitted by weather, so grab a snack, open a crisp Athletic beer and revel in your accomplishment with other runners, and supporters.

Additional Info:

Hiking Poles are permitted, ear buds are permitted and dogs are not permitted for the race, however "on lease" policy applies throughout the forest. Thank you.
