Donaldsonville Run For A Cause

On Halloween night, runners gather for the Spooky Scamper, an unforgettable run through eerie forests and haunted trails. The race starts at twilight as participants make their way along moonlit paths lined with glowing jack-o'-lanterns and mysterious fog. As darkness falls, the course winds around ancient trees draped in cobwebs and past spooky sound effects that add to the chilling atmosphere.
The 5K route features gentle hills and flat stretches through a dense forest where bats flutter overhead and the rustling leaves seem to whisper secrets of the night. Along the way, runners encounter themed stations with costumed volunteers handing out candy and offering words of encouragement in between ghostly screams echoing from nearby woods.
As midnight approaches, the final stretch leads back towards the starting area where fireworks light up the sky as a grand finale for this thrilling Halloween adventure. The Spooky Scamper is not just about racing; it's an immersive experience that transforms every step into a spine-tingling journey through the dark and mysterious night.
For those who prefer to walk, there’s also a family-friendly 2K fun run starting at 6 PM with similar festive decorations but without the competitive timing. Both events promise excitement for all ages on this spooky October evening.
