DGI Nordjysk Trail Cup 2026/2027 - NYTÅRSTRAIL & WALKin ØLAND SKOV

Experience the serene beauty of Øland Skov on January 3, 2027, with options for both runners and walkers. The trail offers distances ranging from a scenic 5-kilometer walk to challenging half-marathon routes at 15.6 kilometers or the quarter marathon (10.6 km). This event takes place within Øland Skov, nestled between Halvrimmen and Limfjorden in Brovst, Denmark.
Participants will traverse through varied terrain including grasslands, leaf litter, mossy paths, gravel tracks, water trails, and narrow single tracks designed to challenge runners while rewarding them with stunning natural vistas. The route winds through a historic pig-styled path dating back centuries when Ø Kloster was active, offering glimpses of medieval history.
As you navigate the trail, enjoy panoramic views over Aalborg and Nibe towards Limfjord's blue waters. After completing your run or walk, warm up with a hearty soup at Øland Golfklub, included in the event package. The day culminates with unique finisher medals for all participants who will cherish this exclusive exploration of one of Denmark’s most picturesque private forests.
