Devils Gulch

Devil's Gulch Race Series offers an exhilarating trail running experience set against the stunning backdrop of eastern Washington’s Ponderosa pine forests and rugged Cascade Mountains. This series includes three distinct distances, each designed to cater to different levels of endurance and ambition.
The flagship event is the Devil's Gulch 100 Miler, a grueling yet breathtaking loop that spans an impressive 100 miles. Runners will ascend to the summit of Mission Peak and Mt. Lillian before traversing Tronsen Ridge with its panoramic views stretching over 360 degrees. The course descends into lush Ponderosa Pine forests and then climbs through Number 2 Canyon, featuring both rocky single-track trails and smooth-flowing paths that lead up to Horse Lake Mountain. Along the way, participants will encounter a staggering elevation gain of more than 20,000 feet over an allotted time frame of 39 hours. The race offers generous cutoff times, allowing runners to set their own pace through varied terrain.
For those seeking a challenge but not quite ready for the full century distance, Devil's Gulch 50 Miler is equally captivating and demanding. This 50-mile loop includes many of the same scenic highlights as its longer counterpart, including Mission Peak and Mt. Lillian, Tronsen Ridge with its sweeping views, and Ponderosa Pine forests. Runners will also tackle the technical climb up Devil's Gulch, complete with numerous creek crossings to cool off in during their ascent back towards the finish line at Mission Ridge Ski Resort.
The Devil’s Gulch Half Marathon provides a more accessible entry point for runners looking to experience some of the race's stunning scenery without committing to an ultra-distance event. This 13.1-mile loop starts and finishes at the ski resort, offering approximately 2,500 feet of elevation gain along well-maintained single-track trails.
All three races feature breathtaking views of the Cascade Mountains’ iconic peaks and plateaus, ensuring that participants are rewarded with scenic vistas throughout their journey. The race organizers have partnered with Mission Ridge Ski Resort to provide a warm welcome at the finish line for all runners, complete with delicious meals and beverages.

Race participants should be aware of Evergreen Trail Runs' cancellation policy: due to the significant upfront costs involved in organizing these events, no refunds are issued for cancellations or rescheduling. However, runners have options such as deferring their entry to the following year’s race, transferring it to another participant, or switching it to a different event with open registration.
