Ancient Lakes Trail Run

About the Event

Experience the enchanting beauty of Washington's desert landscape at the Ancient Lakes Trail Race on April 10, 2027. This unique trail running event offers distances for all levels: 50M, 50K, and Marathon (Sunday), alongside shorter options like 25K and 10K on both days.
The course is a scenic loop that winds through canyon-like gorges, ancient desert lakes, and cascading waterfalls. The trails are primarily single track with rolling terrain and no steep climbs or descents exceeding 400 feet in elevation. Each lap of the larger loops features distinct segments, including visits to spectacular waterfalls and serene lake shores.
Registration for Saturday's race is highly recommended due to its popularity; it sold out early last year. A "Late Start" option has been added this year at 11:00 AM on Saturday, allowing runners more flexibility with their schedules or travel plans.
Camping will be limited but available in the form of car camping and potentially some tent spots near Ancient/Dusty Lakes Trailhead. The race day schedule includes strict cut-off times for each distance to manage trail congestion effectively.
Participants can look forward to receiving a custom finisher's medal (50K/25K/10K) or buckle (50M), along with complimentary downloadable race photos and a unique event tee shirt. Race-day packet pick-up is available at the Bishop Recreation Area in Quincy, WA, near the trailhead.
The Ancient Lakes Trail Race promises an unforgettable experience blending stunning natural beauty with challenging terrain, making it a must-attend for avid runners seeking adventure in Washington's heartland.
