DESAFIO DO ANJO 2027

The Angel Challenge is a personal journey for cyclists, blending physical endurance with spiritual reflection. The 6th edition of this unique event takes place on August 21, 2027, starting at the Parque Tauá in Londrina and ending at the Sanctuary São Miguel Arcanjo in Bandeirantes. Participants will traverse predominantly dirt roads, punctuated by short stretches of asphalt, covering a scenic route that winds through picturesque rural landscapes.
The journey begins early with cyclists setting off from Parque Tauá at 6:00 AM on August 21st, embarking on an approximately 98-kilometer trek. The event is not about competition but rather a personal challenge that tests the limits of body and mind while offering moments for spiritual contemplation.
Throughout the ride, cyclists will encounter several key points along the route where they can refuel and rest:
- Uraí (45 km): Cyclists arrive between 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM at this checkpoint. Here, there is a variety of refreshments including water, fruit, and an ambulance for medical assistance.
- Congonhas (55 km): Between 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM, cyclists will find the Padaria Sant’Ana offering bread with butter along with water and fruits. This is also a station where e-bikes can be recharged.
- Cornélio Procópio (68 km): From 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM, participants reach this checkpoint which marks the halfway point of their journey. Cyclists are offered yakisoba instant noodles along with water and fruit here, as well as a bus service for those who need it.
- Fazenda Pilar - Santa Mariana (81 km): Between 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM, cyclists will find refreshments such as orange juice, fruits, sweets, potato chips at this point. After 2:00 PM, support is limited and participants must rely on their own resources.
- Ormenéze (98 km): The final checkpoint before the sanctuary offers a cooling treat with ice popsicles made from açai, available between 9:45 AM to 3:00 PM.
The event concludes at the Sanctuary São Miguel Arcanjo in Bandeirantes where cyclists are greeted by the serene atmosphere of this sacred space, marking their personal triumph over physical and mental challenges.
