Cyclomontagnarde du Haut-Bugey 2027

Cyclists ready to conquer the rugged terrain of the Haut-Bugey region will find their challenge at La Cyclomontagnarde du Haut-Bugey. This year's race offers four distinct routes catering to various levels of endurance and skill: Grimpeur (143km), Super Grimpeur (173km), Méga Grimpeur (213km, possible in two days as part of the Défi Baroudeur), and Ultra Grimpeur (333km). The latter route features a grueling ascent to the Grand Colombier, Col de la Biche, and Col de Richemont, accumulating over 8000mD+.
Riders on the Super, Méga, and Ultra routes will earn their French Cyclomontagnard badge for conquering the Jura Massif. Detailed GPX files and Openrunner tracks will be available early May to help participants prepare thoroughly for this vertical challenge.
The race route winds through a landscape of rolling hills and dense forests in Ain, with elevations ranging from 300 to 1200 meters. The first half introduces short but steep climbs (3-6km), while the latter part challenges riders with longer ascents (7.5-14km). Three well-placed aid stations offer a chance for cyclists to refuel and refresh before tackling another ascent.
La Cyclomontagnarde du Haut-Bugey promises an unforgettable journey through stunning Alpine scenery, perfect for those seeking both physical challenge and scenic beauty.
Participants will experience the unique blend of natural splendor and rigorous terrain that characterizes this event on May 22, 2027.
