The 44th edition of the Ouest-France Cross is set to captivate runners and nature enthusiasts alike at the Arche de la Nature in Mans. This year, participants can look forward to a diverse array of challenges tailored for all ages.
A highlight will be the traditional cross country races for various age groups including Kid Cross, U12, U14/16, Court Cross, and Long Cross. Families won't miss out either with dedicated family loops that offer scenic routes through nature.
Nature lovers can also partake in 5km runs specifically designed for women and men, as well as a challenging 10km trail race. For those seeking something different, the semi-nocturnal trail offers an exhilarating run under the stars. The event will feature Nordic walking sessions to explore the trails at your own pace.
Team spirit is celebrated with the Relais Open, where participants can team up with friends or family for a collective challenge that promises fun and camaraderie.
Registration deadlines are strict: sign-ups close on Wednesday, January 13, 2027, by 11:59 PM for cross country races. For other events like Nordic walking, women's and men's 5km runs, 10km trail race, semi-nocturnal trail run, Relais Open, and family loops, registrations will end on Thursday, January 14, 2027, at 8:00 PM.
For participants who are not affiliated with a sports club, the Pass Prévention Santé (PPS) is required. This can be obtained online for free; simply visit j'obtiensmonpps.fr to generate your PPS, valid for one year. Ensure you have this number handy when registering as it will be requested during the process.
