CORRIDA DE LONGUE - 2026

Get ready to lace up your running shoes and join the festive spirit of Longué-Jumelles for the annual Corrida Nocturne, set to light up the town center on December 20, 2026. Organized by Longué Run & Trail, this beloved event welcomes runners of all ages and skill levels with a range of accessible courses in an atmosphere that is both friendly and lively.
The race village, located near Espace Cube (Espace Émile Joulain) on Rue du Collège, will be bustling with activity starting at 3:45 PM. The Children's Races offer fun for young athletes aged 6 to 12 years old, with distances of up to 900 meters and a longer option of 1.8 kilometers for the older kids. These free races are open only on-site.
For adults and juniors looking to challenge themselves further, two main race categories will take place: a 5-kilometer run at 5 PM featuring one loop through the city streets; and a more demanding 10-kilometer course starting at 6:15 PM with two loops. Both adult races are open from category U16 onwards.
The event's nocturnal setting means that participants must be prepared for low-light conditions, so it is highly recommended to bring your own lighting equipment such as headlamps or chest lamps for optimal visibility during the evening runs. The town’s public lighting will also illuminate the entire course throughout each race.
To ensure a comfortable experience, free lockers and showers are available at the event site, along with a secure baggage drop-off service near the village entrance. Runners can keep warm after their efforts or cheer on competitors from the sidelines thanks to an on-site refreshment station offering hot drinks and cool beverages all evening long. A food truck will also be present for those craving some fast yet quality meals.
Detailed information about parking areas and recommended lots will be sent out via email ahead of time, making it easier for participants to find their way around town before the race day. Entry fees vary based on your FFA membership status: 5 kilometers costs €7 for members and €11 otherwise; while the 10-kilometer route is priced at €11 for registered athletes and €15 for non-members.
