Crazy Muley Ultra 2026

The Crazy Muley Ultra 2026 takes place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 8:00 AM MDT starting and finishing at the Sand Dune Liquor Store parking lot in Edgerton, Alberta, Canada – celebrating its 5th anniversary as Alberta's only sand dune ultra. This event features a 50K (Big Buck) and a 25K-ish (Fawn) distance, plus a new 25K-ish 2-person team relay, on a hilly course that takes runners through unique sand dune complexes with non-stop rolling hills, loose sand, and little to no shade.

Event Logistics and Participant Information:

• Course Description: Each course is one loop. Both distances share the first half before splitting onto their own loops. The 25K-ish relay switches at Aid Station #1 (approximately 16K and 11K per runner). The course is a mixture of singletrack, quad trails, and roads (pavement and gravel). Marked with pink (50K) or blue (25K) Wainwright Runners pin flags.
• Aid Stations: Two main aid stations for the 50K and one main aid station for the 25K-ish, plus several water stations.
• Cutoff Times: 12 hours for the 50K, 6 hours for the 25K-ish – generous cutoffs to allow all participants to finish.
• Cup-less Race: Please bring your own reusable cup or hydration container.
• Zero Tolerance Policy: The Wainwright Runners have a zero tolerance policy for any physical or verbal abuse to racers, volunteers, or race staff. Organizers reserve the right to not allow racers with past issues.
